..AND EDDIE SAYS HE’S AN IRONS FAN

EDDIE JONES grew up supporting West Ham – but wants his England team to play more like Manchester City.

Head coach Jones revealed his Irons allegiance in a meeting with Stuart Pearce (right), after David Moyes’ assistant watched England train.

“I told him I used to be a West Ham supporter,” said Jones. “I used to love Billy Bonds, Trevor Brooking and Frank Lampard – and that claret and lightblue jersey. They had those big, tough defenders, and Brooking (left) was the artist at the front.”

But it is City not West Ham who are most impressing Jones though. He added: “You don’t hear Man City talk about playing away from home, you just hear them talking about playing.”
