CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew was facing a crunch clash in more ways than one at his former club, West Ham, after being slammed by Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson.

But Pardew was not letting the ill feeling distract him from the relegation battle at The Valley. He said: ‘‘I’ll try and take the emotion out of it.’’ Charlton were relegated.
