BARCLAY’S NOT READY TO QUAKE

- FROM ALEX SPINK In Edinburgh

JOHN BARCLAY is ready to be Scotland’s modern-day Braveheart – after surviving the biggest earthquake to hit Wales in over a century.

The Scotland captain, who plays his club rugby for Scarlets, was at home when the 4.4 magnitude quake struck last weekend.

“It was scary,” he admitted. “I didn’t know what was going on. The whole house was shaking for about 10 seconds.

“I found out a lot about myself. I was standing in the doorway – every man for himself! But I survived so I should be OK.”

Barclay (above) is desperate to erase the memory of last year’s 61-21 “humiliation” at Twickenham, and added: “They are one of the best teams in the world and come here as massive favourites.”
