GOLD CAN COAST TO VICTORY

- BY DAVE MITCHELL

BOOK OF GOLD was unlucky when third at Newbury last time and is our main hope of success at Chepstow this afternoon.

Trainer Oliver Sherwood has been typically patient with his six-year-old, who is now clearly improving.

The form of his handicap debut is potentially strong and he would have been closer to the front two but for a bad stumble at the last.

Our other runner today is the Michael Scudamore-trained CADEYRN at Newcastle.

This six-year-old, who caught the eye running on in fourth at Chepstow, went on to win here last month and can make the most of the weight he gets from the Nicky Richardstrained Uncle Alastair.
