Jon puts retirement on ice

SHEFFIELD skipper Jonathan Phillips has set his sights on 1,000 Elite League appearances.

The 35-year-old forward will chalk up his 900th game against Belfast tonight.

And he said: “It would be nice to get to the 1,000 mark. I’ve no thoughts of retiring yet.”
