JOSE PLANS NICE LITTLE SERI MOVE

- BY DAVID McDONNELL

MANCHESTER UNITED have stepped up their interest in Jean Michael Seri – as doubts grow over Paul Pogba’s future.

United are understood to have made fresh contact with representatives of the Nice midfielder, 26, this week, amid suggestions Pogba could be ready to end his second spell at Old Trafford after just two years.

Pogba has been dropped twice by Reds manager Jose Mourinho and taken off twice in his last four games after sub-standard displays.

Their relationship has become strained and their is potential for United’s £89million record signing to leave this summer if the pair are unable to resolve their differences.

United have been monitoring Seri (above) – who has a £35m buy-out clause in his deal in France – for months and sent a scout to watch him play in the Europa League earlier this month.
