Take regular walks to cut diabetes risk

STEP UP Walks boost health WALKING for just two-anda-half hours a week can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by nearly 20%, according to research.

And the benefit is greatest for those with signs of pre-diabetes or at high risk from the condition.

Researcher­s found higher levels of walking, jogging or running are linked to a lower risk of diabetes in those with frequent high blood sugar.
