Young in job trap misery

-

YOUNG workers’ careers will be blighted by zerohours contracts and poor pay, a think-tank warned.

The Resolution Foundation found half of people on zero-hours contracts were aged 16 to 34.

It called for a better deal to give them more security and support to switch jobs.

And it warned of careers being “scarred” by “a triple whammy of stagnating wages, insecure work and too many young people not feeling able to take up opportunities to progress”.
