Ban on circus wild animals

WILD animals in circuses will be banned in two years, it emerged last night.

An update to welfare laws expiring in 2020 said: “The Government does not intend to renew the regulations as it intends to ensure a legislative ban is introduced by then.”

The RSPCA said: “It’s been a long time coming.”

It wants to help arrange “the best possible retirements” for the animals.
