ATALANTA faces disciplinary action over alleged monkey chants in last week’s Europa League clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund striker Michy Batshuayi, on loan from Chelsea, complained on Twitter of racial abuse from fans of the Serie A club in the last-32 tie in Italy.

UEFA confirmed Atalanta faced charges of “racist behaviour (monkey chants)”, the setting-off of fireworks, throwing of objects and blocked stairways.

Dortmund have been charged with the same fireworks offence and objects being thrown.
