Too chilly for spud pickers

BRITAIN could face a Jersey potato shortage because Romanian workers left the island, moaning of the cold. Crops may be left to rot. Jersey Farmers Union President Peter Le Maistre said: “It is a shame they found work too difficult and recruiting from Romania has not worked out.”
