Zero deposit hols scheme

FAMILIES can book a holiday without a deposit if they pay by direct debit.

The “zero deposit” plan – the first of its kind and being introduced by Thomas Cook – means travellers will pay their break’s whole cost through monthly instalments.

Consumer expert Gemma Godgrey said: “It’s great news but make sure all future payments can be comfortably made.”
