SAINTS’ EURO AIM

-

JAMES WARD-PROWSE wants Southampton to get back to Europa League action – even though they are embroiled in a relegation scrap.

Saints are only outside the bottom three on goal difference and play fellow strugglers Stoke on Saturday.

But the south-coast side are still in the FA Cup, where they face League One Wigan for a place in the semi-finals. Ward Prowse (left) said: “We know we should be higher up the league. “We aspire to play European football and that drives us on to make sure we get back to those days of playing in the Europa League. “We’re a win or two from gaining that momentum.”
