Canyon dead: Tank fit claim

LIVES could have been saved in the Grand Canyon helicopter crash last month, a lawyer has said.

Gary Robb said a fire in the aircraft could have been slowed if special fuel tanks had been fitted.

Officials said two of five fatalities, newlyweds Ellie Milward, 29, and Jonathan Udall, 31, died from burns.

It has been announced Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters will retrofit the tanks to its fleet. Mr Robb, who sued over a 2001 crash, said: “Too little, too late.”
