Ban on card fees flouted
SHOPPERS are still being charged for using credit cards – more than a month after it was banned.
Some 14% of customers have been hit with the card fee in store despite the new law that came in on January 13, research found.
And others are being hit by charges under different names, such as booking fees, found the study by Consumer Intelligence.
Which? Money said: “The Government and regulator need to monitor the impact of the ban.”
