Selfish driver parks inches from ramp of 999 ambulance
A SELFISH driver blocks access to an ambulance on a 999 call.
Paramedics returning with an elderly patient on a stretcher found the red Nissan inches from the ramp, meaning they could not manoeuvre him inside.
Helpful neighbours tracked down the car’s owner, who grudgingly moved so the patient from Small Heath, Birmingham, could be taken to hospital.
The photo was tweeted by Simon Wong of West Midlands Ambulance.
He wrote: “It says Keep Clear on the ambulance for a reason. Driver said they were allowed to park there as their relative was disabled and didn’t understand what the problem was.”
