F1.. IT’S SNOW SNOW SNOW
NEVER mind softs, intermediates or wets – F1 drivers needed snow chains for their tyres in Barcelona.
Day three of pre-season testing was wrecked by an icy blast at Spain’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. And that left world champion Lewis Hamilton with only Monday’s 25 laps in the new Mercedes racer – the fewest of any driver on the circuit this week. Team-mate Valtteri Bottas clocked up 152 laps, having spent most of Tuesday behind the wheel before the bad weather struck.
Bottas said: “I have a better understanding of the car than Lewis because of the mileage.
“But he will soon get a good idea of the new car.”
