VITESSE TO THE RESCUE FOR STAM

JAAP STAM is set to be offered an escape from Reading by Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

Manchester United legend Stam, 45, is battling to keep his job at the Madejski Stadium after a nightmare run of one win in 14 matches.

Vitesse, feeder club for Chelsea, have put Stam (below) and former Hull City boss Leonid Slutsky on a two-man shortlist to be their new manager.
