SPOTLIGHT ON TONIGHT’S SHOWDOWN

-

Arsenal have won just two of their last 11 Prem meetings with Manchester City, drawing five and losing four. Both teams have scored in eight of their last nine league clashes. City have won only one of their 20 Prem away games against the Gunners (D7 L12) – a 2-0 victory under Roberto Mancini in January 2013. Arsenal have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last nine Prem matches. City’s points total of 72 from 27 games is the most ever set by an English top-flight side at this stage of the season. If they win tonight, it will match Arsenal’s Prem total from last season (75 points from 38 games). The Gunners have just two wins from their last 16 Prem games against “Big Six” teams (D6 L8) – beating Spurs in November 2017 and Man Utd in May 2017. Sergio Aguero could hit the 200-goal mark for City in all competitions in this game.
