MANU RETURNS FROM DISASTER

- BY GARETH WALKER

Hull FC v Warrington, 7.45pm

SIKA MANU returns to action for Hull FC tonight after helping the clean-up operation in his native Tonga in the wake of Cyclone Gita.

Manu, who captained his country at last year’s World Cup, was allowed to divert to the Pacific islands on the way back from the Black and Whites’ recent trip to Australia.

The back-rower missed Saturday’s defeat at Castleford as a result but says he is grateful for being given the chance to help out back home.

Manu said: “To see the damage that had been done in Tonga hurts; a lot of houses were damaged or gone.

“What got to me the most was the kids – they don’t have much and lost their homes but they’re still smiling.”

Now Manu’s attention turns to the resurgent Wolves, who have won their last two matches.
