‘Doc blunder’ £30k compo

-

A MAN who claimed his Parkinson’s disease was misdiagnosed for eight years got a £30,000 payout.

The patient, now 88 and who does not want to be named, saw the same consultant 15 times at Hull Royal Infirmary.

Lawyers said he was displaying “obvious” signs of the disorder from his first visit in 2005.

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has apologised – but despite making the payout it denies a delayed diagnosis.
