Father figure

I was gobsmacked this week to learn it was 20 years since the death of Father Ted actor Dermot Morgan who went suddenly, at the peak of his powers, aged only 45.

The amount of touching messages on social media left by those who still laugh at, and love, Dermot was phenomenal.

Proving that many comedians may have the most troubled lives away from the limelight, but when they go, they are the special ones who live longest in our memories.
