Mums fear to breastfeed
NEW parents back breastfeeding in public by 93% but 85% of mums do not do it because of the stigma around it, a survey found.
It showed 68% say there is not enough funding to help mums breastfeed and 57% worry over the rate at which clinics are closing.
The study for The Baby Show in London found 36% of new parents said NHS counselling services were not accessible.
Expert Vanessa Christie said: “Essential support [has] been systematically squeezed and disbanded.”
