Meghan sparkle in Harbour joy

ENGLAND’S Meghan MacLaren has claimed her first Ladies European Tour victory in the Women’s NSW Open in Australia.

MacLaren, 23, from Northamptonshire, went into day four at the top of the leaderboard before carding a closing 71 to finish 10 under par and two shots clear at Coffs Harbour Golf Club.

MacLaren said: “I’d been in control of my game all week, but coming down the line when you know how quickly things can change. it’s just a relief.”

Spain’s Silvia Banon, Norway’s Marita Engzelius and American Casey Danielson shared second on eight-under.
