ST HELENS head coach Justin Holbrook heaped praise on Ben Barba after the fullback’s faultless display inspired his side.

Barba scorched over for two tries and had a hand in two others.

Holbrook admitted he was relieved the game went ahead after the Beast from the East put the fixture in doubt – and it was Aussie Barba (celebrating below) who led the way. “If there’s someone who is going to complain about the snow, it’s Benny as he’s from North Queensland,” said Holbrook. “He been in the thick of it and saying to the lads, ‘What are you complaining about? Let’s get on with it’. He’s in a good place at the moment.”
