JAZZ UP YOUR LIFE
Reading Paul Routledge’s article Live and Let Jive (March 1), I was interested in his enthusiasm for older people taking up dancing. But Paul is behind the times! I don’t know if he was ever interested in jazz, but from the 50s onwards jazz clubs were packed with people bopping in various styles. And guess what? They still are.
He will find there are still loads of people attending venues and dancing (fairly) vigorously to New Orleans or trad jazz, not to mention the weekend events and festivals that take place throughout the year.
