Docs whine at tippler Macron

MEDICAL experts have attacked the French President for claiming that wine is “soft” alcohol that causes few health problems.

Emmanuel Macron says he drinks wine most days with lunch and dinner and nearly all of his ministers support him. The President has refused to toughen up regulations on alcohol advertising.

A group of doctors has written an open letter, saying alcohol is linked to 50,000 deaths. It states: “From the point of view of the liver, wine is alcohol.”
