The Federation of Small Businesses has tentatively backed Tesco’s takeover of cash and carry giant Booker. “Done right, we recognise there could be real benefits,” said FSB chairman Mike Cherry, after the deal was sealed last week.
Coffee chain AMT has been included in a list of firms recognised for paying the right tax in the right place at the right time. The company, which has 53 outlets at railway stations, hospitals and elsewhere, joins the likes of the Co-op in being given a Fair Tax Mark.
