Hugh’s a clever boy

WHAT I like about Chris Hughton, apart from his honesty, is that he’s not a coach who is offensive or defensive.

The Brighton manager looks at the group of players he has and makes them the best they can be with whatever budget he is working to – and I can’t think of many who do that.

Alan Pardew, Tony Pulis, Sam Allardyce, Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe all have certain styles which travel with them.

However, Hughton (right) adapts and he moulds teams in very different ways.
