GOOD TO HEAR FERN’S GOT AID

Fern Britton has revealed she has a hearing aid after struggling to hear her friends in noisy restaurants.

Fern, 60, said she is enjoying the perks of being equipped with the device. “I’m going to come clean, I wear hearing aids now,” she said. “They are radio-linked to my phone, so on the train, I could listen to The Archers and nobody knew.”

She told Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones she found it difficult to hear her friends. The pair were recording the Standard Issue podcast.
