‘Probe doc’ call on Mo jab silence
ENGLAND football team doctor Robin Chakraverty should face a GMC probe for failing to record details of a supplement he gave Mo Farah, the report said.
The MPs heard it was given to Farah to “help performance” before the 2014 London Marathon.
Dr Chakraverty had never before given the supplement, which is legal if an athlete receives a maximum of 50ml every six hours, and it was the first time Farah had it.
Dr Chakraverty told the committee he gave Farah 2.7ml via injection. He put his poor record-keeping down to being “constantly on call” for 140 athletes.
The report drew “an instant comparison” with Team Sky and cycling.
