Treasures of actor Hardy in £50k sale

COLLECTOR Robert Hardy SOUVENIRS from the 60year career of actor Robert Hardy are to be sold.

The star, who played Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter films and vet Siegfried Farnon in the BBC’s All Creatures Great and Small, died last August as the age of 91.

Among 150 lots estimated to fetch a total of £50,000 are a stetson given by Winston Churchill’s family after the actor portrayed him in a 1981 ITV drama series.

There is also the sword he used as Henry V on TV.

Hardy was also a historian and expert on longbows and nine of them are in tomorrow’s sale at Cirenceste­r, Glos.
