Wallaby shot dead in park

A WALLABY carrying her joey died after being shot at an animal enclosure at a public park in Yorkshire.

The animal had been blasted in the head with a pellet gun.

It is thought an intruder broke into the education centre in East Park, Hull, East Yorks, and targeted the wallaby in its pen.

It was found wounded and put down by a vet. The joey also died.

Humberside Police said: “We want to hear from anyone with information.”
