Mums only at till on big day

MORRISONS will devote 500 checkouts across its stores to mums only on Mothering Sunday.

Staff will quickly scan and help pack for those wanting to get home to enjoy it this weekend.

The store said 37% of mums will do the big shop, despite their special day.

One in five mums said the fun is over by noon as “normal service” resumes.

A spokeswoman said: “The reality of Mother’s Day is some mums end up doing lots of chores.”
