CARDIFF CITY are hunting down Wolves after battling past Barnsley.

Callum Paterson terrorised the Tykes for the second time this season before Marko Grujic (above) put the Bluebirds out of sight.

Swansea loanee Oliver McBurnie got his fourth goal in three games, but it wasn’t enough to stop Neil Warnock’s men going within three points of Wolves.

Gary Gardner missed a free header and the Tykes’ tormentor then made them pay.

Kenneth Zohore had a shot blocked, but the ball fell to Paterson, who fired in.

It only took two second-half minutes for Grujic to double the lead, before McBurnie latched on to Andy Yiadom’s cross to make for a nervy finale.
