WOLVES ended their worst run of the season to increase their lead at the Championship summit to six points.

WOLVES will be under the microscope today at the EFL‘s monthly meeting.

The Molineux club top the Championship after major investment from their Chinese owners Fosun.

But their close ties with super agent Jorge Mendes has upset some rivals, including Aston Villa.

They are pressuring the EFL to probe his role amid claims of a possible breach of FA regulations over thirdparty interest in players.

Mendes (above) has numerous men at Wolves including boss Nuno Espirito Santo, £15million midfielder Ruben Neves, loanee attacker Diogo Jota and £7m winger Ivan Cavaleiro.

And that is despite the club announcing a huge pre-tax loss of £23.2m for last season. RICHARLISON is focused on Watford – but could move on for big money. Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal are keen on the Brazilian forward (left), who said: “Right now I am focused on Watford, but everyone wants financial security for their family.”
