RAFA NOT A MIT RED-FACED

RAFA BENITEZ insists it won’t hurt his ego if exiled striker Aleksandar Mitrovic keeps scoring for Fulham.

The Newcastle boss sent the Serb (right) on loan to Fulham and he has scored five times already.

Back on Tyneside, Benitez has put his faith in injured loan signing Islam Slimani, from Leicester, Joselu and Dwight Gayle.

Benitez said of Mitrovic: “It was clear he wanted and needed to play games. Now he has an opportunity. Hopefully, he’ll score 25 goals.

“My relationship with him is fine. The trophies I’ve won, I don’t need to worry about my ego.”
