DRAMA

GLITZY Jane and pals C5, 9pm

PREPARE to embrace old school variety as Jane McDonald brings us an entertainment show that could be straight out of the 70s or 80s.

Sky Living, 10pm Time to cry those country tears as the last ever series of this all-singing drama begins.

A little recap: Maddie (Lennon Stella) threw a drink over Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) for stealing her song and we all cheered. “I’m doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again,” whined Juliette, as the penny finally dropped.

Meanwhile, we spent a fair bit of time on the edge of our seats as we wondered if Deacon (Charles Esten) would ever kiss Jess. He didn’t. And elsewhere, there were more relationship failures as Will dumped the manipulative Zach, and Gunnar and Scarlett broke up – again.

As we rejoin the country stars, not much has really changed. Juliette is screaming at everyone as she prepares for her first tour in two years.

Gunnar struggles to forge ahead with his career without Scarlett.

And Deacon is feeling the dead weight of loneliness.

Not Nashville’s finest scenes, but fans will stick with this until the end.
