We are well into the world’s greatest dog show by now, as Clare Balding continues to bring us live coverage of the famous canine event.

Thousands of dogs and their owners have gathered at the Birmingham NEC for the four-day fiesta, with pampered and preened pooches from across the globe competing for glory.

It’s basically the doggy Oscars as the glossy haired mutts hit the red carpet – although fortunately we won’t have to put up with acceptance speeches or sobbing at this event, only some barking and heavy-duty moulting.

The judging this evening includes the Terrier and Hound groups and there’s more highoctane canine competition with highlights of Flyball and Agility.

Supervet Noel Fitzgerald joins Clare in the studio to discuss doggy health and scientific advances, and to answer viewers’ questions, while Kate Bevan and behaviourist Carolyn Menteith are on hand with helpful pet advice. MAKING MISTAKES Juliette
