RHINOS GOT WAT IT TAKES
Leeds 20 Hull FC 16
KALLUM WATKINS and Tom Briscoe terrorised Hull’s left wing as Leeds hung on to get back to winning ways.
The right-wing duo shared four tries with impressive skipper Watkins also creating Briscoe’s second.
It was just enough to secure victory for a Rhinos side that had lost their last two matches.
Hull’s stuttering start continues, with a third defeat from five – but the visitors felt they were on the end of a number of controversial calls.
One came right on half-time, with Josh Griffin’s disallowed try for obstruction, as Hull had battled back from Watkins and Briscoe’s first tries.
A Dean Hadley response kept the Black and Whites in it, but they were again aggrieved with a penalty awarded seconds before Watkins’ second made it 14-6.
The England centre then produced a superb flick pass for Briscoe to complete his own double.
Hull stormed back with tries for Jordan Abdull and Fetuli Talanoa – but the Rhinos stood firm.
