Vet flouted rabies rules to flog pups
A VET ignored rabies laws to illegally import puppies into Britain for sale.
Viktor Molnar, 58, who ran an illegal pet shop from home, was caught when he sold a miniature dachshund puppy for £700.
When the dog fell ill on the way home from Bury, near Manchester, a vet found no record of a rabies jab and it was too young to have been imported legally.
Molnar, of Dartford, Kent, who pleaded guilty at Manchester magistrates court, was banned from running a pet shop and must pay £5,186 and do a 270-hr community order.
