Stingy tycoon killed worker
A WEALTHY businessman was yesterday found guilty of the manslaughter of a labourer who was buried alive working on his pool.
Ex-UKIP election candidate Keith Crawford, 73, refused to fund safety gear, allegedly saying: “F*** that, it’s getting silly money.”
Peter Clements, 48, died in 2015 after a 9ft trench collapsed on him in Exeter.
Crawford, also convicted at the city’s crown court of breaking safety laws, faces going to jail when he is sentenced on March 22.
