BIG SAM HAS HIS BACK UP AGAINST THE WALL
No Fan-tasy football for Allardyce & Moyes
THERE was a time when you would have been foolish to back against home teams managed by Sam Allardyce and David Moyes.
That time was about 10 years ago.
Today, both are fighting against a tide of rising anger from their own supporters.
When you’re battling against relegation it’s hard enough fighting against your rivals in the drop zone, let alone your fans on the home terraces.
Allardyce, who famously fell out with the supporters at Newcastle and West Ham, looks seriously under pressure at Everton.
So he won’t be relishing facing up to a Brighton side who refused to back down against Arsenal last weekend.
Everton, may just may, come good. But we’d rather have a punt on the Seagulls to pull off a shock. And would it really be a shock?
Brighton are the value at 11/4 with William Hill.
And the Hammers, hit by injury as well as fan unrest, also look vulnerable against a Burnley side who have rediscovered their form.
Moyes hasn’t beaten Sean Dyche in their past four meetings and we can’t see him doing it this afternoon. Burnley are 13/5 with BetVictor.
