12lb baby had a 5lb tumour
A BABY is thriving after having a massive 5lb tumour removed.
Aston Rycroft weighed almost 12lb at birth but only 6lb 3oz when the growth at the base of his spine was taken away.
It was picked up in scans and parents Emma Sharp, 32, and Adrian Rycroft, 36, were warned he might not make it – but he was born by caesarean in December.
Emma, from Huddersfield, West Yorks, said: “It was like Aston was sitting on a giant rugby ball. He really is our little miracle.”
