CLOUGH’S ON ROAD TO END HOME CURSE
BURTON boss Nigel Clough took his team on the road in his search for an elusive home victory.
The Brewers are without a win at the Pirelli Stadium since September.
Clough decided some kidology was needed to solve the problem and treated the visit of Bristol City like an away game.
His tactics produced a better performance but the goalless draw highlighted Albion’s lack of firepower.
Burton’s best chance bounced off record signing Liam Boyce and into the arms of Bristol keeper Frank Fielding.
Clough said: “We changed our prematch routine. We went to a hotel on Friday night before the home game.
“We changed in a different place in the changing room, warmed up at the away end.
“We will try anything, honestly, absolutely anything, with the home record as it is.”
