SILENCE SPEAKS VOLUMES
# The film The Silent Child, starring Rachel Shenton and Maisie Sly, reminded me of a brilliant film called Mandy made in the 1950s.
It starred Mandy Miller who played the part of a little deaf and dumb girl. I was in my early teens and remember how it made me cry. It also starred Phyllis Calvert, Terence Morgan and Jack Hawkins. Both The Silent Child and Mandy are wonderful films. Helen Rawles, Blandford, Dorset
