Department store John Lewis saw a near 18% jump in fashion sales last week.
Takings across the store were up 11.6% thanks to Mother’s Day falling two weeks earlier this year.
The boost comes after John Lewis and Waitrose workers recently saw their staff bonus cut again as group profits dived 67% last year.
