Wales are Tipped to turn table

- BY STEFFAN THOMAS

JUSTIN TIPURIC insists Wales are ready to succeed where England failed.

Warren Gatland’s side hope victory over France – who beat England in Paris – will secure a secondplace Six Nations finish.

“When France gel and play well they’re a very difficult side to beat and they’re getting better with every game,” said flanker Tipuric.

“You know what you’re going to get with France. They’ve big strong men who try to get over the gain line.

“France have a lot of big men in the pack and big centres as well. If we can stop their go-forward, it will make our life a lot easier.”

Wales thrashed Italy 38-14 to jump above England into second spot.

Victory over France on Saturday would virtually ensure they are runners-up behind champions Ireland.

To do that Wales will have to turn the tables on Les Bleus after they were beaten in Paris last season in a match which lasted 100 minutes because of added time.

Tipuric said: “I think everyone would be happy with 80 minutes this time. We’ve just got to win.”
