Messi is keen for revenge

-

LIONEL MESSI will be fired up to gain Champions League revenge on Chelsea.

That is the verdict of Messi’s team-mate Sergio Busquets, who believes the Barcelona superstar will be motivated by the nightmare of 2012.

Messi missed a penalty, six years ago, when Chelsea knocked out Barca on the way to winning the Champions League.

Midfielder Busquets said: “We hope that Messi will be motivated after the missed penalty in 2012. He’s well rested and we know he will make the difference this time – just like he always does.”

Busquets also claimed that Messi (above) would never leave Barcelona, even if offered a bigger deal in the Premier League.

“I think he feels at home here,” Busquets said. “When you feel at home with all the things you have here – this is a big club, with good players, you win different trophies – this is a good project and, economically, he’s doing well.

“We know the Premier League is a spectacular league. We would like to play there, but, if you take all the positives and all the negatives, it’s very difficult to leave Barcelona. If you feel at home and you’re from Barcelona, it’s difficult to change.”

Busquets added: “Chelsea will be a very hard match. We will try to play hard to get the win, but 0-0 could be a good result. If they score, we could really suffer.”
