ACEY MILAN (nb) has already achieved a high level of form in bumpers – and there is more to come.

After a second at Exeter in October, Anthony Honeyball’s four-year-old won his next three, beginning with victory at Wincanton in December.

Successful in Listed company on Cheltenham’s New Year’s Day card, Acey Milan was also scored in the same grade at Newbury last month, motoring 11 lengths clear of Woul du adam and eve it, with previous winner Nestor Park back in fifth.

That form is solid – the third and fourth horses also went into the race on the back of victories – and Acey Milan looks the real deal.

Blackbow, Willie Mullins’ Carefully Selected, Tornado Flyer, Colreevy and Relegate all need considering, while the Nick Gifford-trained Did they leaveu out to also has more to offer.
